Philips Coffee Maker EP1220

The Philips Coffee Maker EP1220/00 is a fully automatic espresso machine from the Series 1200 lineup that lets you enjoy barista-style coffee at home with one-touch convenience. It uses fresh coffee beans as the coffee source and grinds them with a 100 % ceramic grinder that offers 12 grind settings to tailor aroma and strength to your preference.

Operation is simple via the intuitive touch screen display, which makes the selection of drink type and strength easy. The machine brews espresso, classic coffee, and hot water, and features a Classic Milk Frother to create creamy milk foam for cappuccinos and lattes.

The Aroma Extract System helps optimize extraction by maintaining ideal temperatures between 90 °C and 98 °C so you get consistent flavour and crema in every cup. The removable brew group can be rinsed under a tap for thorough cleaning, and many parts, including the milk system, drip tray, and coffee grounds container, are dishwasher safe for easy maintenance.

With the AquaClean filter installed and maintained as prompted, you can make up to 5,000 cups without descaling, greatly reducing upkeep. The machine also reminds you when descaling is due and adjusts the frequency based on water hardness.

This model has a 230 V power supply, 1500 W power consumption, and operates at 50 Hz frequency. It includes a 1.8 L water tank, a 275 g bean container, and a 12-serving waste container. The coffee maker produces café-quality coffee with a 15 bar pump pressure, and its height-adjustable spout (85 – 145 mm) accommodates different cup sizes.
